About Burnett Counseling
Kimberly has worked as a therapist in a variety of environments including the following:
- foster care
- wilderness therapy
- methadone treatment
- LDS family services
- with an Apache tribe
- with people with mental and physical disabilities
- nursing facilities
- hospital inpatient psychiatry
- a DBT clinic
- and a private practice for the past five years.
Kimberly’s cultural lens and understanding of people is broad. She understands that each individual is very different, no matter the group they belong to. She loves all and will do all she can to connect with you as an individual and your different/unique experiences in life.
Kimberly specializes in working with women and men ages 19 & up who want help and are willing to do the work to reach their goals, which often requires stretching oneself. It is her passion to continue to be educated and updated in her practice and to create a safe space, and an environment that fosters trust, openness and vulnerability so that goals can be realized. She is a licensed clinical social worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified life and health coach. She is trained in EMDR, ART, IFS and MBSR. Kimberly also integrates psychotherapy (Talk therapy) and mindfulness education in her practice. All sessions are led with a client-focused therapeutic approach.
